Do Not Drift Alone

A man rarely drifts all at once.

He drifts one quiet decision at a time.

He misses church once. Then twice. He stops calling the men who sharpen him. He quits opening his Bible. He starts carrying stress alone. He gets tired, distracted, frustrated, and isolated.

Then one day he looks up and realizes he has been fighting by himself for too long.

Brother, isolation is dangerous because it often feels normal at first.

God did not call men to drift alone. He called us to stir one another up. That means there should be men in your life who challenge your discipline, strengthen your faith, check your pride, encourage your leadership, and remind you who God called you to be.

You do not need a crowd.

You need a few faithful brothers who will tell you the truth, pray with you, and help you stay sharp.

Today, pay attention to where you have been drifting.

Not to shame yourself.

To correct course.

A strong man does not wait until he is lost to turn around. He humbles himself, reaches out, and gets back in formation.
